During the Review of the Radiology Department’s Charge Master, we will verify the accuracy of CPT Codes, Revenue Center Codes, Descriptions, and Modifiers. We will also validate the correctness of Charge Explosions, NCCI Edits, and bundlings/unbundling issues, as well as meet with the Radiology Department’s Director to determine that appropriate line item selection processes are followed. The Review includes a sample of medical records, UB-04s, and detail bills to insure that the items selected from the Charge Master appear in the medical records and meet compliance criteria.
